Nikolay Komlichenko - Goals and Skills 2019
Nikolay Nikolayevich Komlichenko, born on June 29, 1995, in Plastunovskaya, Krasnodar Krai, Russia, is a professional footballer who plays as a centre-forward. Standing at 1.90 meters (6 ft 3 in), he is known for his physicality and goal-scoring ability. His football journey began in the youth system of FC Krasnodar, where he honed his skills before making his senior debut.
Komlichenko spent several years within the Krasnodar system, including playing for their second team, Krasnodar-2, where he was a prolific scorer. During this period, he also had loan spells to gain senior experience, notably at Chernomorets Novorossiysk. These early years were crucial for his development as a professional striker.
A pivotal phase in Komlichenko's career was his time in the Czech Republic. He first joined Slovan Liberec on loan in 2016 before moving to Mladá Boleslav, initially on loan in 2017 and then permanently in January 2019. It was at Mladá Boleslav that he truly showcased his goal-scoring prowess, becoming the top scorer in the Czech First League in the 2018-2019 season with an impressive 29 goals. He also earned the Czech First League Best Foreign Player award for that season.
His prolific form in the Czech Republic earned him a return to the Russian Premier League in January 2020, when he signed a 4.5-year contract with FC Dynamo Moscow. While at Dynamo, he contributed to their attack, though he also had another loan spell during his time with the club.
In July 2022, Komlichenko moved to FC Rostov on a permanent basis, signing a four-year contract. He became a key figure for Rostov, particularly in the 2022-2023 season, where he scored 10 league goals and provided 6 assists. He continued to be an important part of Rostov's squad through the 2024-2025 season, making 26 appearances and scoring 8 goals in the Russian Premier League, as well as contributing in the Russian Cup.
Nikolay Komlichenko's latest situation at Lokomotiv Moscow:
Following Rostov's loss in the 2025 Russian Cup final on June 1, 2025, Komlichenko announced that it was his last match for Rostov and that he would be leaving the club. In June 2025, Nikolay Komlichenko signed a three-year deal with Lokomotiv Moscow, marking a new chapter in his career. This move was officially confirmed around June 10, 2025, with his birthday being celebrated by Lokomotiv on June 29, 2025, as a new striker for the club.
He is now with Lokomotiv Moscow, where he is expected to be a central forward. Reports suggest he chose Lokomotiv over other interested clubs, including Spartak Moscow, due to guaranteed playing time as a central forward. His agent also mentioned that his decision to leave Rostov was influenced by recent instability in the club's management.
Internationally, Komlichenko has represented Russia at various youth levels, including U19 and U21. He made his senior debut for the Russia national team on October 10, 2019, in a Euro qualifier against Scotland and scored his first international goal against San Marino in November 2019. He has accumulated 9 caps for the senior national team, scoring 1 goal.
