Egy Maulana Vikri - Skills and Goals

Egy Maulana Vikri is an Indonesian professional footballer who has garnered significant attention since his youth career. Born on July 7, 2000, in Medan, Indonesia, he quickly established himself as a prodigious talent. His early years in football were spent at various youth academies, including Tasbi Soccer School Medan and Diklat Ragunan, where his skills as a winger and attacking midfielder began to blossom, setting the stage for his promising future.

Egy's talent became widely recognized during his youth international appearances. He notably won the Jouer Revelation Trophée, an award for the breakout player, at the 2017 Toulon Tournament while representing the Indonesia U-19 team. This recognition, previously awarded to global stars like Cristiano Ronaldo and Zinedine Zidane, propelled him into the international spotlight and attracted interest from several European clubs. He was even named by The Guardian in 2017 as one of the 60 most talented and promising players born in 2000.

His ambition to play in Europe led him to join Polish club Lechia Gdańsk in 2018 on a three-year deal, coinciding with his 18th birthday. Although his time at Lechia Gdańsk involved more appearances for their reserve team, he did make a number of senior appearances in the Ekstraklasa, the top Polish league. During his stint in Poland, he also secured two domestic trophies: the Polish Cup in 2019 and the Polish Super Cup in 2019.

Following his departure from Lechia Gdańsk in 2021, Egy moved to Slovakia, joining FK Senica. There, he had a more significant impact, contributing goals and assists in the Slovak Super Liga. He then briefly played for ViOn Zlaté Moravce before making his return to Indonesian football. These experiences in European leagues provided him with valuable exposure and development.

Currently, Egy Maulana Vikri plays for Dewa United in Liga 1, the top-tier Indonesian football league. He joined Dewa United on January 30, 2023. Since his return to Indonesia, he has been a consistent performer, contributing goals and assists to his team's efforts in the domestic league.

His contributions to Dewa United have been notable, especially in the 2024/2025 Liga 1 season. As of late May 2025, he has played 30 games in the Liga 1, scoring 12 goals and providing 7 assists, indicating his continued attacking prowess and importance to his current club.

On the international stage, Egy has been a regular for the Indonesian national team across various age groups, from U-16 to the senior squad. He made his senior national team debut in 2018 and has since represented Indonesia in significant tournaments, including the AFF Championship and AFC Asian Cup qualifiers, often being a key attacking threat for his country.

As of late June 2025, Egy Maulana Vikri's contract with Dewa United is still considered long-term, with reports from February 2025 confirming that his contract extends for a significant period. There have been rumors regarding potential transfers, including interest from an Iranian top-flight club in January 2025, but as of now, he remains with Dewa United.
