Derrick Steven Mukwala, often referred to as Steven Mukwala, is a Ugandan professional footballer born on July 15, 1999. Primarily a centre-forward, he is known for his goal-scoring prowess and dynamic play in the attacking third. His career has taken him through various top clubs in Uganda, Ghana, and currently, Tanzania, showcasing his adaptability and consistent performance across different leagues.

Since joining Simba SC, Mukwala has continued to feature prominently. As of late June 2025, he has already made appearances in the NBC Premier League and the CAF Confederation Cup for his new club. On the international front, Steven Mukwala is a key member of the Uganda National Football Team, known as the Uganda Cranes. He made his senior international debut on December 11, 2019. As of January 2025, he had made 19 appearances for Uganda and scored 1 goal. He has been involved in various international competitions, including World Cup and Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers.
