Brison Fernandes, born on April 17, 2001, in Loutolim, Goa, is an emerging talent in Indian football, primarily playing as a winger or left midfielder for Indian Super League (ISL) club FC Goa. His journey began in youth football, playing for Salgaocar at the U14 level before joining FC Goa's youth setup in 2016. He progressively moved through their reserve team, featuring in the Goa Pro League and Reliance Foundation Development League, demonstrating his potential from an early age.

Promoted to FC Goa's senior team in September 2021, Fernandes quickly started making an impact. He made his ISL debut in February 2022 and scored his first ISL goal in November 2022, marking significant milestones in his burgeoning professional career. His dedication and performances earned him a more prominent role within the squad, especially during the 2024-25 season.

Fernandes' playing style is characterized by his technical proficiency, agility, and offensive contributions. He is known for his ability to combine with teammates and create scoring opportunities, often operating in the final third. His quick footwork and ability to strike from outside the box have also been noted, contributing to his goal-scoring record.

The 2024-25 season proved to be a breakthrough for Fernandes at FC Goa. He recorded 7 goals and 2 assists in 22 ISL appearances during this period, alongside a goal in the Super Cup. Notably, he became the first domestic player to score consecutive braces in the ISL, with two goals against Mohun Bagan Super Giant in December 2024 and another two against Odisha FC in January 2025. This stellar form highlighted his growing influence on the team's attacking play.

His impressive club performances also led to his maiden call-up to the senior Indian national team. He made his debut for the Blue Tigers on March 25, 2025, in an AFC Asian Cup Qualifier against Bangladesh. Prior to this, he also represented the India U23 team, debuting against China in the 2024 AFC U-23 Asian Cup qualification in September 2023.

Brison Fernandes has also contributed to FC Goa's success in cup competitions, having been part of the squad that won the Durand Cup in 2021 and the Super Cup in 2025. These team accolades further demonstrate his growing importance and contribution to his club's achievements.

As a young talent, Fernandes continues to develop under the guidance of his coaches, with his current coach Manolo Marquez praising his technical ability, football intelligence, and fearless approach. His journey reflects a promising trajectory in Indian football, as he aims to achieve more significant milestones for both FC Goa and the national team.
