Andrey Sergeyevich Arshavin, born on May 29, 1981, in Leningrad (now Saint Petersburg), Russia, is a former professional footballer renowned for his flair, dribbling ability, and incisive passing. Standing at 1.72 meters (5 ft 8 in), he primarily operated as a winger or attacking midfielder, often playing on the left flank or as a second striker. Arshavin began his youth career at his hometown club, Zenit Saint Petersburg, at the age of seven. He progressed through their academy and made his senior debut for the club in 2000.
