Match Analysis

Borussia Dortmund edged past South Korea’s Ulsan HD in a subdued contest to secure a place in the Club World Cup last 16 as winners of Group F.

Heading into their final group match in Cincinnati, Niko Kovac's team needed just a draw to advance to the knockout phase.

In a sparsely populated Bank of America Stadium, Jobe Bellingham notched his first assist for Dortmund by setting up Daniel Svensson, who calmly slotted home the match's only goal.

Bellingham came close to doubling the lead with a well-timed volley that narrowly cleared the crossbar.

Late in the game, wing-back Yan Couto nearly sealed the win with a powerful effort, but Ulsan goalkeeper Jo Hyeon-woo pulled off a spectacular fingertip save.

Meanwhile, in the same group, Brazilian side Fluminense progressed as runners-up following a goalless draw with Mamelodi Sundowns of South Africa, who ended the group stage in third place.
